Letter from The Editor December Edition
December 7, 2021
Hello readers,
Thanks again for taking the time to read our online news source. Our team is ever-improving and our arsenal of guest writers is constantly growing.
This month we are starting a new type of Journalism called “Photo Journalism”, basically it includes a series of or individual photos that all have something in common or work together to be a part of a story. We are super excited to have this new branch of journalism and look forward to posting our writer’s photography. I want to thank our Yearbook staff who have been working to help out the Journalism team to write some excellent sports pieces. I also want to acknowledge how excited we are about the start of winter Basketball season. Both the girls and boys teams will play their first home game in our new gym, while the award-winning Sentinel Cheer Team performs. The atmosphere in the new gym, with the help of our cheer team, will definitely be energized for the whole game. Our writing staff has planned many winter journalism sweets for the upcoming holiday season, as well as a variety of recipes to keep your kitchen on its toes.
Lastly, this year’s Hike for Humanity fundraiser and event should be not only a fun experience but raise a considerable amount of money for charity. The event will take place on Thursday, December 16th. One thing I would like to note, as the days get shorter and colder seasonal depression may affect some of our students, so please make sure to check in on your friends and stay warm. Winter break is right around the corner so I hope everyone enjoys the time off, and whatever you celebrate enjoy the season!
