I try to live by P.T. Barnum’s quote “The noblest art is that of making others happy.”
But let’s just be honest. Life is really weird, crazy, and stressful. Most days it seems to be filled with nothing but twists and turns. The unexpectedness of everyday life can really tamper with a person’s attitude. Sometimes the stress and utter craziness is just too much to handle, contributing to a negative attitude. Negativity messes with my life in all the wrong ways.
Negativity can cause people to become depressed, cynical, and even loose the ability to create positive emotions that could really help. The world needs positivity in times like these. I believe they need joy and light to shine in their world. They need a small act of kindness.
In my opinion, kindness is the most powerful way to change the world. The littlest acts have the power to redirect a stranger’s life. The goodness in others is not measured by how big and grand the act is, but rather how much it helps
someone. I believe that the smallest acts of kindness can completely change lives. A small compliment can give confidence that may only last the day, but will allow that person to nail a job interview. As Mother Teresa said “We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do.”
“We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do.”
I believe that people need to make a difference in the world. And I know that making huge and important changes is not possible without a lot of time and effort, so, the real and actually attainable changes are the small and simple ones. They may not seem like much to you or anyone else, but they’ll add up and become something huge and magical in the end. I believe that my purpose in life is to change the world. I have all these big ideas as to how best help make the world a better place for humans, animals, and the environment. Until I can accomplish those goals, I’m going to change the world one day at a time with one person at a time. The feeling of knowing that you’ve just changed somebody’s life by making them smile is unmeasurable.
